ollowing are some important deadline dates for those interested in voting in upcoming elections.

 

Vote by Mail Open Dates

Vote by Mail:
• The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections mails Vote by Mail ballot applications prior to each election.
• Voters who do not receive an application may obtain ballot applications from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections website, www.boe.cuyahogacounty.us, their local public library, or by calling the Voter Information Hotline 216-443-3298.
March 30, 2010 - Vote by Mail opens:
• Starting on March 30, 2010 ballots will be mailed to voters who have requested a ballot.
• Beginning March 30, 2010, voters may vote early at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
April 5, 2010 - Close of registration:
• The voter registration and change of address deadline for the May 4, 2010 Primary Election is Monday, April 5, 2010 at 9:00 p.m. Voters who have not registered, have moved, or have changed their name and not yet updated their registration, must do so by Monday, April 5, 2010.
May 1, 2010 - Applications by mail for Vote by Mail ballot deadline:
• The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections must receive your ballot application on or before this date to be eligible to Vote by Mail.
May 3, 2010 - All ballots mailed anywhere in the U.S. must be postmarked on or before this date.
• This is also the last day to vote early at the Board of Elections.
May 4, 2010 - Election Day - Polls open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.
• Bring proper identification when voting at a voting location: A current and valid photo identification card (e.g., driver's license or state ID), Military identification, a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows the voter’s name and current address.
• Know your ward, precinct, and voting location. Check at: www.boe.cuyahogacounty.us
or call the Voter Information Hotline, 216-443-3298.
• Vote by Mail ballots returned in person must be received at the Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m.
• Voted Absentee ballots CAN NOT be dropped off at a voting location.
